This website redesign was done through The Guerrilla Politic for the Local 24 chapter of Unite Here! (now Midwest Joint Board). This project began with a big collaborative meeting with the UHMJB leadership and a deep dive into their organization's mission, culture, and the voice they wanted to convey to future generations of workers.
UHMWJB is a powerful voice for workers who are overworked and underpaid, fighting for their rights when no one else will. It was important to convey this passion as well as a youthful energy, and I used bold, splashy color and typography to capture and communicate this grit throughout the site.
